N&S Heavy Duty 350 kg Platform Trolley and Folding Truck Cart Review
This platform trolley from N&S Tools is robust and solid enough to carry the heaviest of loads around, but can still be folded down and fit in the back of a medium-size car. The wheels are whisper quiet, and are big enough to get up and over bumps and obstacles.
We loved the one-handed folding mechanism on this platform trolley, you don’t have to bend down and fiddle with catches, you simply twist the rubber handle and fold it away. It’s this easy storage and high load capacity that makes this platform trolley the best trolley cart on this list.

Oypla 150kg Platform Hand Sack Truck Trolley Review
With a large bed size and sturdy castors, you wouldn’t think this was such a light sack trolley. We think it’s the best sack truck on this list, because the plastic bed has a non-slip surface. Easily stowed in a car boot, the Oypla Platform Sack Truck is the best folding truck trolley for moving shopping or personal items around easily.
The smaller wheels don’t make this one the best garden truck on the list, but it’s a dream on flat surfaces like concrete or carpet. The folding mechanism is easy to use and there’s a handy rubberised bumper around the edge to minimise scratches when in use.

Kampeaburr 150 Kg 5-Wheel Folding Hand Truck and Trolley Review
As light folding hand trucks go, the Kampeaburr Folding Trolley is a lot stronger than it may look. With its small bed size, it’s the best folding truck trolley that you can throw in the back of the car and take with you. If you have to load things in and out, but you don’t have a lot of space, this is the folding trolley for you.
The extendable bed was a nice touch as well, the width could be extended by nearly 5 cm to accommodate wider loads.
The feature we liked the most about this hand truck was the handle. The rubber grip felt solid and gave good control over steering, but the best part was that the hand truck could be extended and angled downwards to help with pulling. A great feature on such a light folding trolley.

VonHaus 150kg Platform Truck Review
This VonHaus platform trolley is another lightweight entry on the list, but can still hold up against some of the more industrial trolleys on this list. The diamond-plate bed is grippy and stops loads from sliding around during transport, and the 100 mm wheels are big enough to go off road.
We really liked the hammered finish on the frame, it makes the VonHaus platform trolley stand out against the others on the list, as well as giving it a durable finish. The highlight for us though was the clever folding action, using your foot to close it kept us from bending over too far when stowing it away.
The hard-wearing finish and big wheels also make this the best garden truck on the list. It looks like this VonHaus folding trolley will stand the test of time to us.

DealsOnline 300 Kg Heavy Duty Folding Sack Trolley Review
The best platform truck trolley needs to be big and sturdy, and this DealsOnline Heavy Duty Folding truck doesn’t disappoint. With a cold rolled steel frame construction and heavy weight castors, it’s larger than a normal sack trolley and the bed is suitable for seriously heavy loads.
We think this is the best trolley cart for commercial use, but because it folds down, it’s useful around the house as well. We really liked the rubber bumper around the bed, it should stop any nasty scuffs or gouges in doorframes when in use.

Neekor Heavy Duty Folding Hand Truck Review
Homeware brand Neekor make lots of clever bits of kit for moving and storing your prized possessions. This heavy duty folding hand truck is a versatile and lightweight solution for when you want to move something heavy without breaking a sweat.
Based around an extendable rugged polypropylene platform, it’s one of the best lightweight trolley trucks I’ve come across. You can stack up plenty of gear on the trolley bed, and if you need an extra bit of space the end extends out by an impressive 12 cm.
Rolling on seven 76 mm silent running wheels, the front five can all turn through 360° while the rear two are fixed. This makes the platform incredibly sturdy and means it doesn’t flop about like a shopping trolley. They’ve even thrown in a pair of bungee cords to help you secure your load.

STANLEY Steel Platform Truck Review
Best known for their razor-sharp utility knives, the STANLEY brand has been around since 1857. If you’re looking for a rock-solid trolley truck, their SXWTD-PC527 folding platform is one of the best on the market right now.
Constructed from rigid tubular steel and featuring a large non-slip platform, this truck is ideal if you want to shift some heavy items without a fuss. The simple folding handle makes it small enough to store away easily, and locks in place with a clever foot-operated lever.
The rear wheels at the handle end spin through 360°, while the front two are fixed. This helps with manoeuvrability in even the tightest of spaces. The super-chunky 10 cm diameter wheels ensure a smooth roll on just about any surface too. It’s a real heavy-duty trolley truck from one of the best names in the industry.

COSCO Shifter Multi-Function Folding Handcart and Hand Truck Review
With plenty of clever storage and transport equipment in their inventory, COSCO know a thing or two about making the best trolley truck for the money. The Shifter is a futuristic-looking and lightweight trolley truck that can also convert into a handy sack truck as well!
The first thing of note about this trolley is how small it folds down. If you need to pack it up and take it away, you could tuck this little trolley under your arm without any problem. But once it’s folded out, you can load it up with plenty of gear and it works just as hard as you do.
The two main wheels might not be huge, but they can take plenty of weight. They’re fixed in place, but the two smaller top wheels can spin through 360° for when you’re in trolley truck mode. Converting between the two modes is a piece of cake as well, which is always a bonus.
How to Choose The Best Trolley Truck
Moving heavy objects around is a hard task, especially if you don’t do it regularly. Folding hand trolleys are the perfect solution when you need to move things safely but you don’t have much room for storage.
There are different features to look out for on a trolley truck but the main ones are unloaded weight, maximum carrying capacity and wheel size. Depending on how much you need to carry, you should pick something that won’t break your back when you’re loading it into your car.
Features to Look Out for
If you’re only going to use it indoors on flat ground, the best platform truck doesn’t need large castors to get around, but if you’re taking it off-road or on uneven surfaces, you should consider larger wheels.
Steering is often an issue when using these trolley trucks for the first time. Unlike a supermarket trolley, one pair of wheels will be fixed facing forwards, and the other pair free to swivel around. It can take getting used to, but don’t forget you can swap the castors around on the best truck carts, changing the steering from front to back.
Load weight is incredibly important when choosing the best hand trolley truck. Think carefully before you buy one, if you’re regularly moving up to 300 kg of goods then you should go for one of the higher rated, industrial style trolleys that are heavier on their own. If you’re just moving your shopping around, then trade off some of that capacity for a lighter frame.
