The Gardena Leaf and Lawn Collector is a handy and practical tool for anyone who wants to clear their garden or yard quickly. I was very impressed with the efficiency and ergonomics of this collector. 

It’s been designed to both rake and collect foliage, grass clippings and scarifying material, meaning it can be used any time of year. The rotating brushes lightly brush the ground, and the debris is collected in the spacious 90 L basket, which is easy to remove and empty once full. 

The build is lightweight and easy to handle. It can be used for prolonged periods, with the T-bar very easy on your hands. The handle length can be adjusted, and there’s no need to bend over as you work. 

There’s a height-adjustable base level, so whether you are working on your lawn or tarmac, the bristles can be set to lightly sweep the ground. This makes it suitable for a range of surfaces, while the 49 cm working width ensures it’s efficient across open stretches. It really is a time saver when it comes to cleaning your garden. 

A couple of minor things to note. The first is that this tool isn’t particularly good at collecting wet leaves, so it shouldn’t be used after rainfall. Instead, pick the leaves up when they are dry. 

While it may not perform as well with wet leaves and heavier items, it’s an excellent investment for those who prioritise quick and efficient garden clearing.

All in all, this little tool is a must-have for those who don’t have a huge area to clear every autumn. While it does a good job collecting wet leaves and dry, it’s unlikely to produce a pristine finish!

It also has a surprisingly large capacity, and not many leaves escaped out the sides. While it won’t pick up all the leaves, it certainly made a huge difference to the look of my lawn!

I only found one downside; taller users may struggle with this product. Measuring 96.5 cm, those over 6 ft may find that they still need to bend down, which could eventually get tiring. For users of average height however, it’s comfortable. 

Overall, I’d highly recommend this leaf collector as a great tool for smaller areas. The non-slip grip ensures secure handling even in wet conditions, while it can be easily stored in the smallest of garden sheds.

This sweeper can simply be pushed forwards at your own pace. The bristles will brush against the ground, sweeping leaves, grass clippings and even small branches. They’ll be collected in the spacious 103 L grass collector, which can be removed for emptying and cleaning. 

The height of the bristles can be manually adjusted. The lower levels are suitable for all surfaces, the middle heights for rough or wet surfaces, while the highest level is for transportation, preventing the bristles from touching the ground as you move this sweeper across your patio or into storage. 

It’s very lightweight which aids ease of use. At just under 6 kg, it’s easy to both use and store. 

If I had to criticise, I’d say that the handle may be slightly too short for some users. While you can use this collector in a vertical position, it may be too short for taller users who will still need to stoop.

Overall, this is the best leaf collector for larger spaces. The 103 L collection bag makes it ideal for those yearly autumn clear ups!
